Scientific Calculator ("the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.

Core Calculator Functionality

The App's core calculator functions operate locally on your device. You do not need to create an account, register, or sign in to use the App.

Calculator expressions, results, matrices, equations, polynomial coefficients, calculus expressions, graph settings, and other mathematical inputs are processed locally on your device.

The developer does not operate a server that receives or stores your calculator expressions, calculation results, matrices, equations, graphs, or other mathematical content entered into the App.

Most calculator features operate locally and can be used without an internet connection. The Currency Converter may use internet access to retrieve official exchange-rate data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Open Data API. Google AdMob and Google's consent-management services may also use internet access for advertising and privacy-related functions.

Information the App Does Not Directly Collect

The App itself does not request, collect, or store personal information such as:

The App does not read or upload your existing personal files. When you choose to save a graph, the App creates a graph image and stores it locally on your device. The graph is not uploaded to a developer-controlled server.

Internet Access

The App's mathematical calculations are designed to be performed locally. Internet access is used for Google AdMob advertisements, Google's privacy and consent-management services, and to retrieve official exchange-rate data for the Currency Converter.

The Currency Converter retrieves exchange-rate data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Open Data API over HTTPS. The monetary amount entered by the user is not included in the exchange-rate request and is not sent to the NBU. Currency conversions are calculated locally on the device using the retrieved exchange-rate data.

Exchange-rate data and related rate metadata may be cached locally. A cached rate is treated as fresh for 6 hours. If newer exchange-rate data cannot be retrieved, older cached data may remain available for offline use until it is replaced or the App's local data is cleared.

When the device is offline, advertisements, consent services, and retrieval of new exchange-rate data may be unavailable. Other calculator functions remain usable, and the Currency Converter may use previously cached exchange-rate data when available.

Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share certain information in accordance with Google's policies and the user's applicable privacy choices. This information may include:

Depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, and Google's advertising configuration, the App may display personalized, non-personalized, or limited advertisements.

The developer may receive aggregated advertising reports through Google AdMob. The developer does not provide your calculator expressions or mathematical inputs to Google AdMob for advertising purposes.

Consent and Privacy Choices

The App uses Google's User Messaging Platform where applicable to request and manage advertising privacy choices.

When required by applicable law or Google's services, the App may display a consent message before advertisements are requested.

A Privacy Options control may also be available inside the App when Google's User Messaging Platform determines that users must be able to review or modify their privacy choices.

Users may also reset or delete their Android advertising ID through the privacy or advertising settings available on their Android device.

Google's collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion of advertising-related information are governed by Google's own policies and terms.

National Bank of Ukraine Open Data API

The Currency Converter uses official exchange-rate data published by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) through its Open Data API. The monetary amount entered by the user is not included in the exchange-rate request and currency conversions are performed locally on the device.

The NBU publishes its open data for unrestricted and free-of-charge access and permits further use, including commercial use, subject to mandatory reference to the source. The App identifies the National Bank of Ukraine as the source of the exchange-rate data.

Data Sharing

The developer does not sell, rent, or share your calculator expressions, results, matrices, equations, polynomial inputs, calculus inputs, or graph settings.

Advertising-related information may be collected or shared by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, as described in this Privacy Policy and Google's documentation.

When the Currency Converter retrieves updated exchange-rate data, the App connects to the National Bank of Ukraine Open Data API. The monetary amount entered by the user is not transmitted to the NBU and the currency conversion itself is performed locally on the device.

As with ordinary internet requests, the destination service may receive technical connection information necessary to deliver the requested data, such as an IP address. The developer does not send calculator expressions, calculation history, or the user-entered monetary amount to the NBU.

The App does not currently include:

Data Retention and Deletion

The developer does not receive or maintain a server-side copy of your calculator expressions, results, matrices, equations, polynomial inputs, calculus inputs, graph settings, or saved graph images.

Because the App does not provide user accounts or store calculator content on a developer-controlled server, there is no developer-held calculator account or calculator dataset requiring an account-deletion request.

Locally stored information can be removed by:

Exchange-rate information used by the Currency Converter may be cached in the App's private local storage. Cached information may include exchange rates, currency codes, rate dates, and related retrieval metadata. It does not include the monetary amount entered by the user or a history of currency conversions. Cached exchange-rate data can be removed by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App.

Advertising-related information processed by Google is retained and deleted according to Google's policies, applicable laws, device settings, and user privacy choices.

Device Backup

Android backup and device-transfer backup are disabled for the App's private application data.

Files that you deliberately save outside the App's private storage, such as exported graph images, remain subject to your device's storage, synchronization, and backup settings.

Security

The App is designed to minimize data handling by processing mathematical content locally.

According to Google's Mobile Ads SDK disclosure, advertising-related data handled by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security.

Requests made by the Currency Converter to the National Bank of Ukraine Open Data API are transmitted over HTTPS.

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the integrity of the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically designed or directed toward children under the age of 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

The App's target-audience selection and advertising configuration will be maintained in accordance with applicable Google Play and Google advertising requirements.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the App, third-party services, privacy practices, legal requirements, or advertising configuration.

Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
